About This Project

Paul and his team have setup a truly fantastic initiative called NSEWA, or North South East West Africa. One of the two components is a health education program enabling truck drivers on the road. NSEWA also comprised of ‘blue shipping containers’ turned into mobile medical check in stations scattered along all the major routes of Sub Saharan Africa. The Program’s learning material was recorded onto audio CDs allowing on-road learning. NSEWA approached us to build their online assessment tool which would effectively certify truck drivers, once they had successfully completed and passed their Online Assessment.

THE APPROACH
We initiated the project with an informative website, showcasing the statistics and issues at hand. We then developed the brand identity around the core idea of ‘Bennie’ – our team mascot. Who would represent the teacher, trainer, and captain of NSEWA’s mission. Next our focus moved onto the core component of the project. The OAT, which had to be lite on broadband, and simple enough for drivers to complete these assessments from their mobile devices. An admin dashboard allowed truck companies to track their drivers activity, performance and certification rate. The entire platform was built from the ground up, and we are very excited over future opportunities this project may lead to.
